Hi folks,

What are the chances I tin can pull a two bottom plow with my B2601? Is in that location a rule of thumb for tractor size vs. implements size particularly with ground engagement implements?

somewhere I read .......ane" - ane.5" per HP ......so a fourteen" unmarried would need 14 to 21 HP at the drawbar

No.

Pulling a 2X14 moldboard turn will require close to thirty PTO HP and over xx drawbar HP in good ground and much more of both in many grounds. The tractor will also need to exist properly set up up for plowing, e.g., AG tires, ballast, etc.

Not certain what you lot plan to do but a rototiller may well be a better alternative.

If you lot want a nice 1 lesser 16" turn, find a scrapper who has the old pull blazon plow(ordinarily two lesser). Remove one beam and brand the 3pt arms.

Non much to a turn.

Be careful about buying old plows. Moldboards and shears do wear out and y'all'll most likely never find replacements. If you practise discover an sometime plow that's in fair condition, make sure y'all hardface the wearable parts to make it last every bit long as possible.

I did non think of that. Thanks for the info. I don't really need it, I just found it and thought it was cheap enough to add to the fleet.
